The Scripps National Spelling Bee is set to begin on Tuesday in Washington, D.C. This event brings together 247 finalists from all 50 states. These remarkable spellers have risen from millions of competitors nationwide, with hopes to achieve the recognition others have grasped in previous years.

This year, ESPN’s Mina Kimes will present the event. Mina Kimes spoke with Amna Nawaz concerning her new responsibilities as host. Nawaz, serving as the co-anchor and co-managing editor at PBS News Hour, conducted an engaging conversation to explore Kimes’s insights and expectations.
