Brian Hooker’s stepmother, Donna Hooker, has publicly stated her belief that her stepson lied about his missing wife, Lynette Hooker. During a livestream on the ‘Surviving the Survivor’ podcast, she expressed her determination to assist investigators in the case. Lynette, a 55-year-old mother from Michigan, disappeared in the Bahamas during a sailing trip with Brian on their sailboat, ‘Soulmate.’ Brian reported Lynette missing on April 4, claiming she fell from a dinghy.

Brian was initially detained by Bahamian authorities but later released without charges. He returned to the U.S. in mid-April. Local newspaper, The Tribune, noted Donna has not been contacted by investigators despite her longstanding familiarity with Brian.

Donna Hooker, married to Brian’s father for over 40 years, has lived with Brian during his teenage years and describes him as intelligent but reserved. She is eager to offer information as authorities probe Lynette’s disappearance further.

She recounted the difficulty of maintaining contact with Brian and relied on his sister Jennifer, who resides in California, to try and reach him. She last saw Brian in April 2022, following his father’s stroke, but had not heard from him since then.

Despite the investigation, Brian Hooker has not faced any charges related to Lynette’s disappearance. The U.S. Coast Guard has seized their sailboat ‘Soulmate’ during the ongoing investigation. His attorney maintains communication with investigators, and Fox News Digital reached out for further comment.
