Stephanie Vaquer Claims Victory in Dramatic WWE House Show

Professional wrestling is renowned for its intense and rapid action. When intertwined with compelling storylines, it can evoke significant emotional responses from fans. A strategic element often employed by wrestling companies is unpredictability. Although outcomes might be pre-determined, the action in the ring can still deliver surprises.

On Saturday night in Santiago, Chile, WWE showcased its ability to enthrall audiences with top-tier entertainment. What seemed like a standard house show on WWE’s South American tour transformed into a memorable event. Stephanie Vaquer, representing Chile with national support, faced Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship.

House shows are untelevised events that occur outside WWE’s regular weekly broadcasts. These events typically feature champions defending titles or engaging in matches with rivals, generally not impacting ongoing televised storylines. However, the Santiago show became remarkable when Vaquer triumphed over Morgan, aided by Becky Lynch serving as a special guest referee.

During the match, tension escalated as Morgan expressed dissatisfaction with Lynch’s officiating. After pushing and slapping Lynch, Morgan returned her focus to Vaquer, but Vaquer responded with a powerful thrust kick. Although Morgan countered with her signature Oblivion move, Lynch halted her count at two, displaying defiance toward Morgan.

Seizing the moment, Vaquer executed her Vaquer Inferno move from the top rope, pinning Morgan and igniting the crowd’s excitement. This victory marked Vaquer’s second reign; she first won the vacated title at Wrestlepalooza against Iyo Sky, maintaining it for 210 days until Morgan’s win at WrestleMania 42.

Morgan’s championship run concluded at 147 days, while Vaquer celebrated amidst her fellow Raw roster members. The victory occurred in her home country, making the experience particularly thrilling. However, potential contenders like Lynch are ready to challenge Vaquer for the title. For now, Vaquer stands as champion, basking in her achievement at home.
