Stefon Diggs, a former wide receiver for the New England Patriots, insists he remains a valuable asset in the NFL despite not being the dominant All-Pro player from 2018 to 2023. Released by the Patriots following the Super Bowl, Diggs, now 32, is exploring new team opportunities and maintains confidence in his abilities.

In a YouTube video, Diggs shared his belief that any team signing him will acquire the best WR2 in the league. He challenged fans to compare him with other second options on NFL teams, asserting that no current No. 2 receiver surpasses him in talent.

“My opinion, I can compete with anybody,” Diggs declared. “But take those [top wide receivers] as your 1s, right? You can’t name a No. 2 better than me.”

Last season, Diggs caught 85 passes for 1,013 yards and logged four touchdowns. This performance marked his seventh 1,000-yard season and the seventh time his catch total exceeded 80 in a year. His stats underscore consistent effectiveness on the field.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, demand for Diggs is high, with at least five NFL teams expressing interest as training camps approach. Fowler highlighted that Diggs achieved 1,000 yards playing for New England after an ACL tear, with limited participation in only 55% of the snaps. Diggs believes he can improve further due to offseason training free from injuries.

While specific teams remain unnamed, potential suitors include the Indianapolis Colts, Kansas City Chiefs, Las Vegas Raiders, New York Giants, and Washington Commanders. Washington is heavily linked to Diggs, especially after the departure of Deebo Samuel. The team seeks a reliable partner to complement Terry McLaurin, with Dyami Brown, Treylon Burks, and rookie Antonio Williams currently in contention for the No. 2 receiver role.
