Stan Kroenke, already known for owning a number of professional sports teams, is expanding his sports portfolio once again. Kroenke currently owns renowned franchises such as Arsenal F.C., the Denver Nuggets, and the Colorado Avalanche.

In a move announced on September 1, 2026, Arte Moreno has agreed to sell the Los Angeles Angels to Kroenke. This sale marks the end of Moreno’s long tenure as the Major League Baseball franchise’s owner.

The transaction was made public by Kroenke Sports and Entertainment. It still requires the approval of Major League Baseball’s owners. The deal is anticipated to be finalized in the first quarter of 2027.
