The Social Security Administration announced a special initiative to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. From July 2 until December 31, all babies born in the United States will receive a unique Social Security card. These cards resemble the traditional blue wallet-sized Social Security cards but include a distinctive stamp.

The stamp features the ‘Freedom 250’ logo, which represents a public-private initiative supported by the Trump administration. This program was created to organize various events that reflect the administration’s priorities for the semiquincentennial celebrations.

Freedom 250 differs from America250, a nonprofit that Congress formed in 2016. America250 focuses on organizing nationwide activities to commemorate the milestone in American history.
