The gymnast shared a selfie on her Instagram Story with her husband, Jonathan Owens, who accompanied her on his birthday. The photo showed Biles in a hospital gown and cap, alongside Owens, as they smiled at the camera.

Biles, a gold-medal gymnast, expressed gratitude towards her close friends and family for their support. She has not disclosed specific details about the medical emergency that led to her hospitalization last month. However, she mentioned that the situation “could have ended very differently.” Biles shared her feelings about the scary experience, mentioning it was especially difficult since Owens was in Indianapolis at the time for his practices.

Jonathan Owens, Biles’ husband, plays as a safety for the Indianapolis Colts. Since joining the NFL in 2018 as an undrafted free agent, he has played for five different teams. The couple met in 2019 during Owens’ time with the Houston Texans. They now live together in Texas where they’ve built a substantial home.
