Six months have passed since Nancy Guthrie vanished from her Tucson residence. The Pima County Sheriff, Chris Nanos, addressed the public on Saturday regarding two recently disclosed ransom notes in connection to the case. The intention is that someone might recognize the distinct writing style or wording used in the notes.

“There are specific elements in these notes that might prompt someone to recall or identify the phrasing,” Sheriff Nanos explained in a video interview, highlighting the potential for new leads through public awareness.

The origin of the notes remains uncertain, as it is still unclear if both were authored by the same individual. Despite this, investigators continue to sift through tens of thousands of tips, video footage, and forensic evidence to locate the 84-year-old mother of Savannah Guthrie, co-host of “Today.”
