Bentonville, Ark. — The Food and Drug Administration has announced a recall of pasta sold at Walmart stores across the country due to potential listeria contamination.
New York-based Gias Foods is recalling two lots of its bettergoods brand Authentic Italian Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine. This product is available nationwide at Walmart Inc. locations.
The affected pasta comes in frozen 22-ounce packages bearing the UPC number 194346442706. The lot numbers in question are L6079C and L6080C, with expiration dates on Sept. 19, 2027 or Sept. 20, 2027.
On September 15, the recall began following testing by the Washington State Department of Agriculture and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Their routine sampling program identified the potential presence of bacteria.
According to Gias Foods, no illnesses have been reported so far. Nevertheless, the company has ceased distribution of the affected pasta as investigations continue.

- Stiff neck
- Confusion
- Loss of balance
- Seizures
- Muscle aches and fatigue
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicates symptoms may develop within two weeks after consuming contaminated food.
