Reality television stars Tarek and Heather El Moussa experienced a burglary at their Newport Beach, California home while vacationing in Mexico. The incident left them feeling ‘violated’ as they shared their distress on social media.

Authorities responded to the residential burglary reports shortly after 6 p.m. on June 8. The burglary occurred when unknown suspects accessed the backyard, shattered a rear sliding glass door, and entered the property. Inside, they ransacked the primary bedroom closet before fleeing through the backyard. Jewelry was reported stolen.

The Newport Beach Police Department is currently investigating the case but has yet to identify any suspects. The burglary took place between June 6 and June 8, according to the police.

Heather expressed her anguish on Instagram, stating her heartbreak over the actions of ‘cruel, heartless people.’ She assured followers that she and her family, including their children, are safe.

Heather and Tarek welcomed their son, Tristan, in January 2023. Tarek was previously married to Christina Haack, with whom he shares two children, daughter Taylor and son Brayden. The former couple continues to co-parent amicably.
