Raiders Concerned Over Ashton Jeanty’s Leg Injury During Practice

The Las Vegas Raiders face uncertainty after Ashton Jeanty, their star running back, suffered an apparent leg injury during a practice session on Sunday. The incident occurred as the 22-year-old player attempted to catch a pass, for which he dove, but sadly remained on the ground, unable to bear weight on his right leg. Following the injury, a profound silence fell over the indoor practice facility.

Jeanty, known for his significant contributions on the field, had to be assisted off the field. The gravity of the situation prompted the entire team to kneel and pray for their teammate. As of now, the Raiders have not issued any official statements regarding Jeanty’s condition. Head coach Klint Kubiak is expected to address the media on Tuesday.

Despite a strong rookie season, Jeanty’s participation in this year’s preseason games has been limited. He recorded only three carries for 16 yards against the Arizona Cardinals and did not feature in their match against the Houston Texans.

Ashton Jeanty joined the Raiders as the No. 6 overall draft pick from Boise State. During his rookie season, he overcame the challenges of playing behind a weak offensive line and delivered impressive statistics. He accumulated 975 rushing yards and scored five touchdowns over 17 games. Additionally, he caught 55 passes, adding 346 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns to his record.

In the event that Jeanty must sit out, the Raiders will look to fourth-round rookie Mike Washington Jr. He will likely be supported by Dylan Laube, undrafted rookie Roman Hemby, and Dare Ogunbowale. Washington, who has shown promise during the training camp, took the first-team reps following Jeanty’s exit.
