President Donald Trump has accused The New York Times of “treasonous” reporting in their coverage of the war against Iran. He announced plans to add the report to his existing lawsuit against the newspaper.

Trump stated on his Truth Social platform on Sunday night.
Trump disclosed intentions to integrate their purportedly false reporting into his “multi Billion Dollar lawsuit” against the publication, labeling them as “criminals.” This follows a continuous conflict with media outlets since his return to office last year.
Trump initially filed a $15 billion defamation lawsuit against the Times last September. However, a judge dismissed the case promptly, characterizing the 85-page complaint as containing irrelevant language. Subsequently, Trump filed an amended 40-page complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida in October. This listed the newspaper, Penguin Random House, investigative reporters Suzanne Craig and Russ Buettner, and Peter Baker, the chief White House correspondent, as defendants.
These recent remarks were made following his criticism of a Times analysis that suggested the conflict with Iran had not resulted in significant strategic changes. Trump contradicted this, claiming Iran’s military and economy suffered heavy damage.
The Times has previously countered Trump’s lawsuit as unsubstantiated and a mere tactic to suppress independent journalism.

Trump exclaimed.
Newsweek attempted to reach Trump’s attorneys and The New York Times’ legal team via email outside of regular business hours on Monday.
Trump has previously launched lawsuits against ABC News and CBS News’s 60 Minutes, both were settled out of court by the affiliated parent companies. The Wall Street Journal and its owner, Rupert Murdoch, were also subjects of Trump’s legal actions following coverage about his alleged connections to Jeffrey Epstein.
