A school bus aide in Pennsylvania, Ali Khan, aged 62, was arrested on charges related to the alleged inappropriate touching of a 14-year-old girl with special needs. According to the Bensalem Township Police Department, Khan faced charges including endangering the welfare of a child, corruption of minors, and indecent assault. He remains in custody at the Bucks County Correctional Facility after failing to post 10% of his $500,000 bail.
The incident came to light when the girl’s parents reported to the police on Thursday, July 30, that their daughter was allegedly touched inappropriately by Khan that day. Investigations revealed that Khan allegedly engaged in this behavior on both Wednesday, July 29, and Thursday, July 30, while the student was on her way to the school’s extended year program.
Evidence from the bus’s surveillance footage allegedly shows Khan guiding the girl to a seat and then touching her inappropriately while fastening her seatbelt and after she was seated. The footage also appears to capture Khan engaging in improper conduct and using his cellphone to photograph or record the girl.
The Bensalem Township Police Department commended the victim for her bravery in reporting the incident. They also expressed appreciation for the Bensalem School District’s cooperation in the investigation, emphasizing their shared commitment to student safety.
The Bensalem Township School District confirmed that Khan was immediately removed from service pending the outcome of both criminal and administrative investigations. They reiterated their commitment to ensuring student safety and supporting affected families while fully cooperating with law enforcement.
Footage reportedly shows Khan putting his hand inside his pants during the incident. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 11, 2026. The investigation continues as authorities work to gather more information on the case.
