Patrick Mahomes recently concluded a challenging season with the Kansas City Chiefs, marked by a torn ACL that ended his play during Week 15 of the 2025 NFL season. The Chiefs wrapped up the year with a 6-11 record, missing the playoffs for the first time since 2014.

Despite this setback, Mahomes remains highly regarded by his NFL colleagues. He was announced as the 18th player in the 2026 NFL Top 100 rankings, as voted by active players in the league.

The Kansas City Chiefs expressed their recognition of Mahomes’ achievement through social media, stating, “The no. 18 spot belongs to no. 15,” on the platform X.

Before his injury in Week 15, Mahomes had completed 62.7% of his passes, totaling 3,587 yards, along with 22 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Additionally, he achieved a career-high of 422 rushing yards in the limited time he played.

Encouraging news for Chiefs fans is Mahomes’ progress in recovery. He is ahead of schedule and anticipated to participate in the team’s season-opening “Monday Night Football” game against the Denver Broncos on September 14.
