OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney has agreed to a plea deal in her second-degree murder case related to the death of her boyfriend Christian Obumseli. Her legal representatives confirmed this to Fox News Digital. The exact terms of the plea agreement remain undisclosed and are pending court approval, according to the Prieto Law Firm and Puglisi Carames Law, Clenney’s legal counsel.
The defense expects to present this agreement in Miami-Dade County court on August 10th. However, Clenney’s attorneys have stated, “We will reserve further comment on the specific terms until they are placed on the record before the Court.”
Clenney, aged 30, has been in custody since August 2022 in connection with Obumseli’s death on April 3, 2022, at the Miami apartment she was renting. Her legal team claims that Obumseli was abusive, arguing that Clenney was a battered partner. On the other hand, Obumseli’s family asserts that he was a victim of domestic violence.
Following her arrest, Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle described Obumseli’s death as the outcome of a “tempestuous and combative relationship” that began in November 2020. Clenney told investigators that Obumseli pushed her and threw her to the ground before she grabbed a knife and threw it at him from several feet away. The medical examiner noted the chest wound was three inches deep.
Initially considered a self-defense case, investigators continued probing after Obumseli’s family expressed concerns. A police report, heavily redacted, reveals officers responded to an aggravated battery call at the couple’s home at 5 p.m., where they found Obumseli with a single stab wound to the torso.
In February 2022, a video emerged of Clenney in Aspen, Colorado, yelling at and striking Obumseli. In this recording, she accuses him of causing her financial loss and flirting with other women, while blaming him for her drinking.
