Romania’s defense ministry reported on Tuesday that two F-18 jets from the Spanish Air and Space Force were mobilized from Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base 57. The jets were dispatched following the detection of an aerial target about two miles east of Vylkove, near Ukraine’s border with Romania.
Authorities in northern Tulcea County, Romania, alerted residents about possible falling objects. They advised residents to seek shelter as a precautionary measure. The defense ministry has not yet confirmed whether the suspected drone entered Romanian airspace.
