A suburban enclave near Boston, Massachusetts, is currently dealing with concerns over a masked intruder spotted on private property. The Weston Police Department is seeking public assistance in examining this ‘suspicious incident.’

Surveillance footage from early Sunday, August 2, captured a masked person wearing a bicycle helmet around a residential property between 2:30 and 3:30 a.m. Although the individual did not enter the home, they were on private grounds late at night, raising suspicion.

‘Given the circumstances, we suspect the person’s actions were not legal,’ police stated.

Weston, renowned for its high-end real estate market and proximity to Boston, is one of the priciest towns in Massachusetts. According to the police, the suspect seemed to emerge from a nearby trail before approaching a home on Highland Street with a flashlight.

An image captured by the department shows the individual using a flashlight near a three-car garage, while another suggests the person removed a hunting chair from the property and carried it towards the woods. In certain images, the suspect is seen wearing a bicycle helmet.

Weston Police Chief Denis Linehan expressed significant concern, telling CBS Boston, ‘It’s unsettling, without question. Having someone masked on another person’s property at any time is worrying, and their presence at 3 a.m. only adds to our concerns.’

The authorities urge local residents to examine their home surveillance or doorbell camera footage from that morning. ‘Even footage of someone walking, biking, or leaving can aid our investigation,’ stated the police.
