With NFL training camps underway, anticipation builds for the release of “Madden NFL 27,” set to launch in just over two weeks. EA Sports unveiled its player ratings, sparking discussions among fans.

Quarterbacks Matthew Stafford, the current league MVP, and Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills led the ratings. Both achieved a spot in the exclusive 99 Club. Stafford secured the top quarterback ranking, slightly ahead of Allen, despite their shared rating. Behind them, Joe Burrow sat in third place with a 97, Lamar Jackson followed, and Patrick Mahomes held the fifth spot with a 93. Jared Goff rounded out the top ten with an 88 rating.

Among the 99 Club, wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, defensive end Myles Garrett, and tight end Trey McBride were notable mentions. After the Seattle Seahawks’ Super Bowl victory, Smith-Njigba signed a lucrative four-year deal, becoming the NFL’s highest-paid receiver. Ja’Marr Chase maintained impressive form, surpassing 1,000 receiving yards in each season since 2021. Puka Nacua, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Justin Jefferson completed the top five wide receiver listings, with Mike Evans, now with the 49ers, sitting at tenth.

Running backs saw Jahmyr Gibbs of the Detroit Lions leading with a 98 rating. Christian McCaffrey, coming off a strong season, followed with a 97. Jonathan Taylor and Bijan Robinson each held a 95 rating, while the Rams’ Kyren Williams secured a spot in the top ten.

Despite not being a 99 Club member, face of “Madden NFL 27,” Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, aims to increase his rating. He expressed confidence on “Up & Adams,” targeting an improved completion percentage as a path to the 99 Club.

The “Madden NFL 27” official release is on August 13, with early access available up to seven days prior for MVP+ members. Team-wise, the Rams came out on top with a 93 overall rating.
