Knicks and Seahawks White House Visit Plans Discussed

The New York Knicks have accepted an invitation to visit the White House to celebrate their NBA Championship win. Knicks owner James Dolan confirmed this on Wednesday, stating that they will iron out the visit’s details soon. Dolan mentioned the invitation during an appearance on WFAN New York’s “The Carton Show,” where he also noted his long-standing friendship with the President.

President Donald Trump was present at the Knicks’ Game 3 loss to the San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden, the only defeat before the Knicks secured the NBA Championship Series 4-1. The team celebrated their victory by holding the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy after defeating the Spurs in Game 5.

While the Knicks are preparing for their visit, the Seattle Seahawks’ White House celebration appears uncertain. Despite winning the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots on February 8, their visit is still not scheduled. The White House press office communicated to Fox News Digital that they have no news to share regarding the Seahawks’ visit.

The Philadelphia Eagles were the last NFL team to visit the White House, celebrating their Super Bowl LIX victory on April 28, 2025. Such visits typically align with the team’s offseason program, making scheduling more feasible. The Seahawks completed their offseason program on June 11, which complicates scheduling a visit during the summer break.

With training camp beginning in late July, coordinating a White House visit becomes challenging. A potential solution might be scheduling the visit during the NFL regular season. Seattle plays against the Washington Commanders on September 27, which could present an opportunity if they arrive in Washington, D.C. a day earlier. However, such plans are unlikely, as NFL teams prioritize maintaining their regular travel schedules and consider away games business trips.
