Justin Baldoni Reflects on Legal Dispute with Blake Lively

Justin Baldoni has broken his silence about the legal drama involving Blake Lively that started two years ago. In a video shared on Instagram, Justin and his wife, Emily, discussed their experiences of ‘injustice’ and ‘trauma’ during this period.

According to Justin, they remained silent publicly not because of a lack of something to say but because speaking out didn’t feel like the right time. Emily stated that now feels like the appropriate moment to talk about it.

The legal battle emerged from tensions during the production of the 2024 movie “It Ends With Us.” Issues arose when Baldoni and Lively promoted the film separately. Blake Lively later sued Baldoni, alleging harassment and a smear campaign against her. Baldoni denied the claims and countersued Lively and other parties for defamation and extortion.

The highly publicized legal conflict saw both sides releasing texts, footage, and court documents. Eventually, it was settled in 2026 without admissions of wrongdoing or financial compensation. However, Lively’s request for $8 million in legal fees remains contested.

In the video, the Baldonis conveyed gratitude for the kindness received, while acknowledging the pain they’ve endured. They emphasized letting the justice system work and shared that they are in a healing phase.

Justin expressed how the tumultuous experience strengthened their faith and family bond. Emily hopes people had ‘discernment’ in understanding their journey. The couple paid tribute to supporters who stood by them throughout the challenging period.

While the legal saga between Baldoni and Lively has ended, its impact on Hollywood conversations about workplace conduct persists.
