Juror in Lindsay Clancy Case Speaks Out Amid Mistrial Controversy

PLYMOUTH, Mass. — In a recent turn of events, the lone holdout juror from the mistrial of former Massachusetts nurse Lindsay Clancy has made a public statement. Michael Desronvil, who initially stood apart from the other 11 jurors by maintaining Clancy’s guilt, has now spoken directly in a video aired on Fox News’ “Hannity.”

Desronvil expressed his intention to shift focus back to the victims, referring to them as “three angels”. These victims, Cora, Dawson, and Callan Clancy, cannot speak or defend themselves, a point he emphasized in his message.

I know the whole focus has been on me, but we want to reel everything back and put the focus on the three angels, said Desronvil.

Desronvil also spoke about his personal life, crediting his faith and his love for his daughter as sources of strength during the ordeal. “I want to thank God for my Catholic faith,” he said softly, acknowledging the support he has received.

Before this direct statement, his attorney Edward Paltzik released comments on his behalf. In post-mistrial discussions, Desronvil faced accusations from some jurors who claimed he sought a guilty verdict despite reasonable doubts. Desronvil has refuted these allegations.

Paltzik fiercely defended his client, stating unequivocally that Desronvil had no doubts about the case. “Michael has zero doubt,” he remarked in an interview with Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany.

The situation has escalated into a dispute between Paltzik and Clancy’s defense attorney, Kevin Reddington. Reddington labeled Desronvil “the obstructionist juror” and has called for a further investigation into these jury deliberations.

Lindsay Clancy is scheduled to appear in court again shortly; prosecutors will likely outline plans for a new trial. Meanwhile, Clancy’s defense team has filed motions to dismiss the charges and investigate the allegations against Desronvil.
