Joe Coffey, known for his past in WWE NXT, recently joined Major League Wrestling (MLW) to enhance their already star-studded roster. Coffey joined with his former stablemates Mark Coffey and Wolfgang, rebranding as Glasgow Boys on Top (GBOT). The group is eager to claim championship titles and cement their dominance in the league. Coffey’s tenure in WWE lasted until May 2025, when the trio decided to move on.
I feel like I want more character development,
Coffey shared with Fox News Digital, explaining his choice to join MLW. He emphasized the opportunity MLW presents for storytelling, something he felt was lacking in recent years. Coffey, Mark, and Wolfgang hope to showcase their potential and capitalize on new opportunities offered by MLW’s collaborative environment spearheaded by Court Bauer.
With aspirations of holding titles, Coffey noted their mission as one of pure intensity. I hope I have a title around my waist,
he stated, asserting their readiness to dominate and create a significant impact. He expressed a determination to demonstrate his competence and past successes, including performing in sold-out arenas and facing Hall of Fame wrestlers.
The launch of MLW Fusion on Veeps marked a pivotal expansion for the league, offering global streaming access. Coffey celebrated this move, highlighting the unique storytelling and creative narratives that distinguish MLW from other wrestling promotions.
Coffey remarked, Actually watching ‘Fusion’ (last) Saturday, I feel as if ‘MLW Fusion’ has what the pro wrestling world is missing,
noting the show’s broad appeal and dynamic storylines. He expressed optimism for MLW’s future as they reach a wider audience.
