Joe Biden and Hunter Biden Surprise Jersey Jerry with Award

Former President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, made a surprise appearance in a video to present Jersey Jerry with the “Lib of the Year” award. The award ceremony took place during Barstool Sports’ “Pardon My Take” Takie Awards episode on Friday. Jerry was caught off guard by the cameo, having won the title for the third consecutive year.

Hunter Biden began the video by acknowledging their shared experiences with recovery before congratulating Jerry for his achievement. “Hey, Jerry, from one brother in recovery to another, congratulations on the Lib of the Year award. I know you didn’t have much competition, but I’m still proud of you,” he said.

Joe Biden then appeared, joining his son in offering congratulations. “We were both proud of you. Hey, Jerry, congratulations. Keep the faith, Jerry. Congratulations, dude,” he stated. Jerry was visibly stunned by the former president’s involvement.

The presentation, marked by its presidential significance, was emphasized by “Pardon My Take” co-host Dan “Big Cat” Katz. He said, “Forty-five men have served in 47 presidencies. You have one of 45 men who served as president of the United States of America giving you a Takey for Lib of the Year. Just let that set in for a second. That’s history.” Jerry agreed, acknowledging the special nature of the moment.

The appearance of the Bidens drew notable reactions online. Barstool founder Dave Portnoy expressed his surprise at seeing Joe Biden in the video, stating, “I gasped.” Media personality “Jack Mac” also shared his reaction. “I gasped when the second special guest popped on screen,” he commented.

Other awards presented during the episode included “Take of the Year” and “Blake of the Year.” Geoff Schwartz, a former NFL player, appreciated the humor, saying, “This is great. Did not expect the end of the video.” The Takie Awards are known for their parody format and entertainment.

The segment mirrored a previous presentation by Pete Buttigieg in 2025, where he encouraged Jerry to continue his streak of victories, acknowledging Jerry’s evolving views on immigration and vaccines.
