Jack Osbourne Discusses Raising Five Kids Without a Nanny

Jack Osbourne recently shared insights about raising five children with his wife, Aree Osbourne, without a nanny. In an interview with People magazine during an Emmy nominees event in Los Angeles, Osbourne explained, “Yeah. So we don’t do the nanny thing. I thought it was going to be way gnarlier than it is, but you find a rhythm.” Aree, a stay-at-home mom, and Jack are parents to daughters Maple, 4, and Ozzy Matilda, 6 months. Jack is also a father to Pearl, 14, Andy, 11, and Minnie, 8, from his previous marriage to Lisa Stelly.

“I’m a little more structured with my kids than my parents were with me,” Jack previously told People magazine.

The couple celebrated Maple’s first day of preschool by sharing a photo of her with her baby sister, jokingly calling Ozzy Matilda Maple’s “emotional support squad.” Jack grew up in the renowned Osbourne family, led by his father, the late Ozzy Osbourne, and his mother, Sharon Osbourne. Despite his background, Jack uses a structured parenting style, contrary to his upbringing. “I won’t take them out of school just to go travel. We do a little bit, but I think structure is healthy,” he emphasized.

Jack and Aree welcomed their youngest daughter, Ozzy Matilda, in March, honoring Jack’s late father, Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away in July. In December, Jack spoke about the pregnancy with The Sun, describing it as a source of hope amidst the family’s grieving. “It’s awesome,” he mentioned. “It’s been partly a healthy distraction, partly healing.”

His sister, Kelly Osbourne, also faced public scrutiny after their father’s death. She spoke about the harsh comments regarding her appearance and her journey to recovery in an interview with Hello!. “You’ve got to fix the head before you can fix the body,” Kelly said. “It’s a slow process.”

Jack has also addressed public comments about his weight. On Instagram, he responded to body-shaming remarks, clarifying, “I have lost no weight since I got out of the jungle doing ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ six months ago. I’ve been the same weight.” He criticized the media’s treatment of his weight, stating, “I cannot believe that even though I got down to a healthy weight, I’ve been criticized even more.”
