Andrea Shaw, an Idaho mother, has been accused of the deaths of her 18-month-old twins, although she claims that flu shots were responsible. Prosecutors, however, provide a different account.
During a court hearing, investigators argued that both children died from suffocation. Symptoms such as pulmonary vascular congestion and pulmonary edema were found, with experts suggesting these are indicative of smothering.
The prosecution has requested that Shaw remain in custody with a bail set at $2 million due to the serious nature of the case. The incident took place with both children found deceased under concerning circumstances, all signs pointing to unnatural causes.
