Hunter Biden recently spoke about the health challenges facing his father, former President Joe Biden, during an interview with the BBC. He revealed that Joe Biden’s prostate cancer has metastasized, spreading to his bones, and is causing significant discomfort.

‘The cancer has spread, metastasized into his bones and further,’ Hunter Biden stated. ‘It’s very painful and it’s very debilitating in many respects.’ He expressed concern over his father’s condition, adding, ‘I wish he would complain more, because it’s not good.’

Despite the illness, Joe Biden remains active, participating in speaking engagements and maintaining his schedule. Hunter noted, ‘He’s still doing his thing.’

Joe Biden’s prostate cancer diagnosis was announced in May 2025, months after he left office. At the time, the cancer was identified as stage 4 and aggressive, with signs of having affected the bones. A Gleason score of 9 indicated both the severity and the likelihood of its presence for an extended period.

Dr. Ezekiel J. Emanuel, vice provost and oncologist at the University of Pennsylvania, shared insights, suggesting that Joe Biden had the condition during his presidency, which began in 2021. Emanuel stated, ‘He did not develop it in the last 100 to 200 days.’

Jill Biden, the former first lady, also commented on her husband’s health during an appearance on ABC’s ‘The View.’ She acknowledged the impact of both his age, 83, and the medications on his physical capabilities, saying, ‘He keeps his schedule, but he’s slowed down.’
