Hayden Panettiere’s Tragic Passing at 36

Hayden Panettiere has passed away at the age of 36, her father announced in a statement late Sunday. Skip Panettiere expressed intense sorrow over the loss of his daughter, in a statement provided by her representative.

The cause and manner of her death have not been disclosed. Her publicist, Kasey Kitchen, mentioned that an investigation is underway, with more details expected soon.

This year, Panettiere opened up about her struggles with postpartum depression and addiction. These challenges led her to surrender custody of her daughter, Kaya Evdokia Klitschko, in 2018. Kaya’s father is Wladimir Klitschko, a Ukrainian professional boxer.

Recently, Panettiere released a memoir titled “This Is Me: A Reckoning.” The book made headlines for its candid revelations, including details about her previous relationships.

In 2024, Panettiere shared her pain over losing her younger brother, Jansen Panettiere. Jansen died unexpectedly from an undiagnosed heart condition the year before. She described this loss on NBC’s “TODAY” show, saying that it deeply affected her.

Born and raised in Palisades, New York, Panettiere began her career at just 11 months old in television commercials. Her early roles included appearances on soap operas such as “One Life to Live” and “Guiding Light.” She lent her voice to the animated film “A Bug’s Life” and starred in movies like “Remember the Titans” and “Bring It On: All or Nothing.”

Panettiere gained significant recognition for her role as Juliette Barnes on the TV series “Nashville.” Before that, she was known for her role as Claire Bennet on “Heroes” during the 2000s.

On the set of “Nashville,” she faced the pressures of newfound motherhood and the challenges of postpartum depression. She admitted these pressures were substantial and, at times, overwhelming.
