Hayden Panettiere’s Mother’s Statement and Ongoing Investigation

After the passing of Hayden Panettiere, her mother, Lesley Vogel, has spoken out. Panettiere, known for her role in ‘Heroes,’ died at 36. Vogel, who previously managed her daughter’s career, expressed her concern about Brian Hickerson, Panettiere’s on-and-off boyfriend, being present at her death.

Vogel stated to NBC News that Hickerson, alongside his brother Zach, was with Panettiere in Greenville, South Carolina, when she passed away. The police report confirms their presence during the incident. Vogel highlighted the struggles young people face in the entertainment industry, indicating that Panettiere’s path became troubled.

Panettiere had ended her professional relationship with her mother at 19. In May, she mentioned in US Weekly that they were estranged, yet she hoped for future reconciliation. Panettiere began dating Hickerson in 2018 and ended the relationship in 2022.

According to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office, no trauma signs were found in the preliminary autopsy. Panettiere was in cardiac arrest when first responders arrived, but despite their efforts, she was declared dead at 2:32 PM. The investigation into the cause and manner of death continues without conclusive results at this time.

Her brother, Jansen Panettiere, also died suddenly earlier this year. Panettiere’s daughter, Kaya, whom she shares with ex-fiancé Wladimir Klitschko, is now eight years old. Klitschko expressed his sorrow and commitment to honoring Panettiere’s memory for the sake of their daughter. He acknowledged Panettiere’s talent and the challenges she faced in her career.

In her memoir, ‘This Is Me: A Reckoning,’ Panettiere shared the reasons for allowing Klitschko custody of their daughter in 2018. She spoke about her struggles and the need to ensure her daughter’s well-being in a supportive environment. Panettiere emphasized the importance of her daughter’s safety and her decision to let her grow up in Europe with Klitschko.
