A French model scout, Daniel Siad, who organized meetings between models and Jeffrey Epstein, was discovered dead at his home in suburban Paris. An autopsy is expected to establish the cause of death, according to reports from Le Monde. Siad was 69 years old.

Siad’s attorney stated that if his death resulted from a heart attack, it would be due to the “anxiety he suffered every day” related to the investigations into his connections with Epstein. Epstein, a convicted sex offender, died in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial.

The Department of Justice has records indicating Epstein paid thousands of dollars to Siad. Siad’s name appears frequently in the department’s Epstein Library, showing his use of fashion industry connections to aid Epstein. Epstein had associations with high-profile individuals, such as former President Bill Clinton, the British Royal Prince Andrew, and Donald Trump.

Parisian prosecutors started probing Siad’s possible involvement in human trafficking and criminal conspiracy in February. They planned to continue the investigation, as no sufficient grounds for arrest were found before his death.

Two women informed CNN that they encountered harm from Epstein after being referred to him by Siad. Siad contended that no one he introduced to Epstein had complaints. Siad claimed he believed Epstein was a casting director with influence at Victoria’s Secret, although CNN found no evidence to support this claim.

Siad was aware of Epstein’s 2008 charges for soliciting prostitution but thought the issues were resolved following Epstein’s release from jail in 2009. Despite allegations from a model accusing Siad of rape in the ’90s, he denied the claims.
