Former NFL Player’s Return to College Athletics and Edgerrin James’ Plea

Judge Allows Former NFL Player to Rejoin College Football

A recent court ruling permits former professional football player Dae’Quan Wright to resume his college athletic career at LSU. Fox News contributor Jim Gray detailed the context of this decision. He discussed both the lawsuit by the SEC aimed at preventing Wright’s return and the evolving NCAA eligibility rules that impact the 2022 draft class.

Edgerrin James Seeks Help for Son

Edgerrin James, a Pro Football Hall of Famer, reached out on social media regarding his son, Jizzle James, a former Charlotte basketball player. The elder James revealed that his son is facing substance abuse challenges and urged people who encounter him to offer support without providing money or valuables.

James encouraged showing affection and support. “Jizzle is dealing with substance abuse and is NOT in the right state of mind right now,” he wrote in an Instagram Story. “If you see him, show him LOVE – but DO NOT give him money, valuables, or anything material.”

While Jizzle James was part of the Charlotte program, he is now absent due to personal issues, as stated by a spokesperson. His earlier college tenure included a turbulent stint at Cincinnati where he averaged 10.9 points and 2.1 assists per game over 23 appearances.

Jizzle James’ Journey and Disputes

After leaving Cincinnati post-dismissal and reinstatement, the journey led Jizzle to Charlotte. Complications arose as Cincinnati later sent him a cease-and-desist letter prohibiting him from using the school’s name and merchandise.

In response to this, Jizzle declared on social media, “I have my own merch I made. I don’t need y’all jerseys.” Despite these challenges, Edgerrin James emphasizes the focus on providing emotional support to his son.
