In the early hours of Saturday, a tragic accident occurred in Munich, Germany, when two cargo trains collided on a bridge. This incident resulted in one fatality and caused two train carriages to derail and crash onto the street below, according to local police reports.
The cause of the collision is still being investigated, as confirmed by a police spokesperson in Munich. The affected area is in the city’s northern district of Milbertshofen.
Rescue operations commenced promptly for the two freight train cars that fell from the bridge. Emergency services responded quickly, receiving the alert at 1:40 a.m. local time.
