Hannah recounted that Jenny’s last text message was sent to another flight attendant, asking about plans for the following day. This text came after her family received a message from Jenny at about 11:40 p.m. on August 19.

Emergency services responded to Jenny’s location at the Hilton Hawaiian Village at approximately 7:15 a.m. on August 20. She was declared dead at the scene.

The Honolulu Police Department stated on August 24 that Jenny Lupton’s death is still under investigation. No conclusions have been reached regarding the manner of her passing. Officers are conducting interviews, reviewing surveillance footage, and examining evidence.
