Porter Airlines flight 444, scheduled to depart from Victoria International Airport at 10:30 p.m., had started taxiing when a flight attendant noticed the child standing unsecured. Despite efforts by both the accompanying adult and the crew, the seatbelt remained unfastened.

Flight Cancellation

The crew decided not to proceed with takeoff under these conditions. The plane was directed back to the terminal where passengers disembarked. Due to the airport’s takeoff curfew at 12:30 a.m., the time needed for passengers to leave, along with luggage retrieval and paperwork, led to the flight’s cancellation.
