Enes Kanter Freedom Banned from Chicago Sky Games After Altercation

Enes Kanter Freedom, a former NBA player known for his outspoken views against transgender athletes participating in women’s sports, faced a significant setback during a Sunday game between the Chicago Sky and the Indiana Fever. Freedom was escorted out of the Wintrust Arena after engaging in a verbal dispute with Chicago Sky’s Natasha Cloud.

The incident led to Michael Alter, the majority owner of the Sky, announcing that Freedom would no longer be permitted to attend future Sky games due to his actions during the match. Freedom had positioned himself courtside, donning a shirt with the inscription: “WOMAN noun. adult human female.” His altercation with Cloud occurred during a timeout in the third quarter.

Alter commented on the possibility of lifting the ban in the future, stating, “As far as a lifetime ban, if someday he’s able to demonstrate he’s capable of being at a game and conducting himself in compliance with our rules and not be a threat to people, might we reconsider? I suppose it’s possible.” However, there is no current dialogue with the league regarding extending the ban to other WNBA arenas.

The story is still developing, and updates are anticipated.
