An electrical fire at TikTok’s Culver City headquarters prompted a mass evacuation of workers from the seven-story office tower on Wednesday afternoon. Both police and firefighting teams arrived swiftly at the scene.

Witnesses described hearing loud noises and experiencing power outages. Several employees were trapped in elevators until they were rescued by emergency teams. Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire rapidly, while experts began evaluating structural and electrical damage.

The Bristol Parkway building consolidated TikTok’s Los Angeles operations in 2020. The space spans 120,000 square feet and accommodates approximately 1,000 workers. It features studios and murals tailored for content creation.

According to Culver City Police Department spokesperson Jennifer Atenza, the emergency response was initiated at 2:14 p.m. at the address 5800 Bristol Parkway. The fire began on the first floor, likely due to electrical issues. Fortunately, firefighters put out the fire quickly, and there were no reports of injuries or signs of arson. Ongoing assessments are being conducted by a building engineer and personnel from Southern California Edison.

In January 2020, TikTok relocated its Los Angeles staff into five floors of this building. The office space includes vibrant murals and areas designated for content creators, supporting around 1,000 employees.
