Dez Bryant Claps Back at Knicks Fans Amid Game 3 Loss Blame

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant took to social media, reacting to New York Knicks fans who seemed to blame President Donald Trump for the team’s Game 3 loss. The San Antonio Spurs narrowly defeated the Knicks, finishing 115-111 in a lively atmosphere at Madison Square Garden, where Trump was also present.

During the game, the Knicks recorded 13 turnovers and had a field goal percentage of 45%. In comparison, the Spurs managed better efficiency with a 46% field goal percentage and only eight turnovers.

Bryant expressed his opinion online, writing, “That’s what you Knicks fans get for hating on President Trump!” He seemed to enjoy the irony as fans pinned the team’s struggles on Trump. It’s notable that New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani was also at the game, yet largely went unnoticed in the blame game.

Trump’s appearance at the event evoked a sharp reaction from the Madison Square Garden crowd. This reception was different from what he experienced at the college football national championship in Florida, back in January.

In response to critics who labeled him a Trump supporter, Bryant replied, “Whatever personal problem you got with Trump.. IDGAF! go beat your face on the concrete if it makes you feel any better!” He further clarified, “With all due respect.. I don’t spend my time focusing on politics.. I don’t know what he deserves!”

The Knicks’ head coach, Mike Brown, voiced concerns about the fouls called during the game. He pointed out the significant difference in free throw attempts, where the Spurs shot 32 compared to the Knicks’ 22. “First of all, I want to make sure I get something clear,” Brown stated. “Coach Mitch Johnson and the Spurs. They won the game tonight. They came and took the game.”

Brown continued to express disbelief at the number discrepancy, saying, “I never thought I would be in the NBA Finals and see a team get 24 free throw attempts in the second half to another team’s eight. I don’t think I complain much about officials or the fairness when it comes to the free throw attempts.”
