A passenger on the CTA Red Line sustained injuries from flying glass shards after a bullet struck a train window. The incident occurred on Sunday morning in Roseland, as reported by Chicago police.
The injured passenger, a 46-year-old man, was on the train near 95th Street at roughly 8:49 a.m. Police stated that individuals in three vehicles on the Dan Ryan Expressway began firing guns. This resulted in a bullet hitting and shattering the train’s window, causing glass to injure the man’s face and body.
Emergency services transported the man to Trinity Hospital, where he is in good condition. According to police, the vehicles involved in the shooting left the area promptly. Area 2 detectives are currently leading the investigation.
