A Coral Springs convenience store, Citgo Food Mart located at 10380 Royal Palm Rd, faces food delivery suspension following rodent-related concerns identified during inspections. On Wednesday, Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services inspector Timothy O’Neil announced that if pest evidence persists, a Stop Sale Order for all foods would be enforced.

During inspection on June 3, O’Neil found a dead rodent in a trap beneath the three-compartment sink in the backroom. Additionally, fresh rodent droppings were observed in cabinets under fountain drink dispensers and the coffee bar.

This inspection follows a previous inspection on May 14, which revealed over 100 fresh rodent droppings under various soda machines and the coffee bar. Droppings were also present in the processing room and in cabinets next to single-use lids and boxes of single-use cups.

Owners Alloudin Bhullar and Nawshad Chowdhury of Stores Management, LLC had received warnings during the May inspection to address the pest issue, but subsequent inspections showed these warnings were not adequately heeded.

Several Stop Use Orders have been placed on food processing areas including the hot foods case, food rollers, and frozen soda dispensers. The ongoing rodent problem has forced the store to cease serving food and drinks until resolved.
