Valparaiso University Receives Grant for Character Formation

Free Car Seat Safety Events by Franciscan Health

In observance of National Child Passenger Safety Month, Franciscan Health Trauma Services is organizing free car seat safety events in Michigan City and Munster. Car seat checks are set for September 23 at Franciscan Health Michigan City’s Legacy Campus and September 25 at Munster Fire Station No. 2. PNW Enrollment Update

Starting the 2026-27 academic year, Purdue University Northwest welcomed 1,653 new undergraduates and reported a 70.8% retention rate for second-year students, indicating a significant improvement. The university noted an increase in first-year students from nearby high schools, with Indiana residents comprising 80% of the student body. The total enrollment is 6,103 for this fall.
