Victor Marx, the Republican nominee for governor in Colorado, sparked interest with claims made in a past podcast episode. Marx, a former Marine and leader of a Christian ministry, stated in a 2020 podcast episode that he encountered Satan through a person.
According to Marx’s account, this occurred while he was praying for a girl in a high-security youth prison in Texas. He described a chilling scene where the girl began manifesting a demon. Marx emphasized the realism of the incident, noting that the response was strong enough to cause other incarcerated youth to retreat.
Marx described the encounter as ‘horrible.’ He detailed the manifestation as particularly troubling and recounted asking the demon its name, receiving the reply, ‘I am Satan.’ He insisted he was serious about the incident.
‘If you think I’m joking, I’m not.’
Despite regarding the girl as ‘adorable,’ Marx sensed something sinister within her. He recounted the demon’s statement, claiming possession, which Marx found amusing. He shared that his laughter seemed to anger the entity.
Marx founded All Things Possible Ministries, aimed at liberating individuals on spiritual, emotional, and physical levels.
Marx gained further attention after securing the GOP nomination earlier this year. He promoted his campaign as an all-Marine ticket, aiming to counter the democratic socialist movement’s spread nationwide. Marx and his running mate, retired Marine Col. George Markert, position themselves as political outsiders with military discipline.
Public safety, social conservatism, and living costs are central to Marx’s campaign. It coincides with victories of the Democratic Party’s progressive faction, notably in Colorado, where democratic socialist Melat Kiros won against incumbent Rep. Diana DeGette.
Marx faces Democrat Phil Weiser in the upcoming election. Weiser, current Colorado Attorney General, is favored to continue the work of term-limited Democrat Gov. Jared Polis.
