Fans eagerly anticipated the return of college football after a long seven months. Week Zero offered a preview, but now the main events are here. The highlight this week is Clemson’s matchup against LSU in Baton Rouge. This game marks Lane Kiffin’s debut with LSU.
Legal Battle in Baton Rouge
While fans focus on games, legal issues also loom. The SEC faces a court battle on Thursday concerning a dispute involving 2022 class athletes. They added the SEC to their case, challenging Commissioner Greg Sankey over guidelines supported by SEC schools.
The SEC plans to contest the allegations at the hearing. They emphasized the temporary nature of the restraining order and aim to defend their rights as a voluntary association. The outcome may impact player eligibility for LSU’s upcoming games.
