Guojun Xuan and Silvia Zhang, residents of California, are currently facing serious accusations. They are alleged to have recruited surrogates under false pretenses to give birth to children who were then subjected to abusive environments.

On Tuesday, Xuan and Zhang appeared for their arraignment in Pasadena, California. This legal proceeding comes amid accusations that they monitored more than a dozen children born via surrogacy.

According to authorities, these children were kept under constant surveillance within the couple’s mansion in the Los Angeles area. The home was equipped with 32 cameras, providing a live feed that the couple reportedly used to watch the nannies they employed. The footage allegedly captured nannies delivering severe punishment to the children.

The case has drawn widespread attention due to the nature of the allegations and the conditions described by authorities. The couple’s actions have raised significant concerns about child welfare and ethical responsibilities in surrogacy arrangements.
