Caitlin Clark has captured headlines for various reasons this season, but her performance on the court deserves recognition for its sheer dominance. Her achievements continue to set her apart as a leading figure in the WNBA.

In June, Clark was honored with the WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month title, marking the second occasion in her career. Previously, she won both Player of the Month and Rookie of the Month awards in August 2024. She stands alongside Hall of Famer Tamika Catchings as the only players in Indiana Fever history to receive this accolade, with Catchings having won the award three times.

Clark’s performance throughout June solidified her status as a top player. She averaged 21.9 points, 8.2 assists, and 4.0 rebounds over 10 games. Her shooting accuracy was impressive, with a 45.6% field goal percentage and 35.1% from three-point range. Ranking fourth in the WNBA for points and second in assists, she led Indiana to a 7-4 record and powered the league’s highest-scoring offense at 95.5 points per game.

One noteworthy performance occurred on June 11 against Chicago, where Clark scored 32 points and delivered 10 assists. Alongside Aliyah Boston, they became the first teammates in league history to each achieve a 30-point double-double in the same game. On June 16, Clark followed this with 21 points and a season-high 14 assists against Toronto.

From June 11-22, Clark set a new WNBA record by achieving at least 20 points and five assists in six consecutive games. This marked her third streak of at least five straight games hitting those benchmarks—contrasting the entire league history where such streaks have occurred only three times.

Unfortunately, the streak was halted when a back injury forced Clark to exit Indiana’s June 24 game against Phoenix in the third quarter. Before this, she had already accumulated 19 points and eight assists. A notable incident during the game involved Alyssa Thomas, who made contact with Clark’s neck, resulting in a flagrant foul.

Clark’s influence extended beyond the records. She helped draw substantial audiences for Indiana Fever’s games, notably for their June 16 win over Toronto.

Entering July, Clark is close to achieving further milestones. She needs only nine more assists to reach 600 in her career and just five three-pointers to become the fastest player in league history to hit 200 career threes.
