Bus Crash Near Baltimore Injures Over 30 People

A public bus collision occurred on Wednesday outside Baltimore, Maryland, resulting in injuries to more than 30 individuals. Among those injured, one person was in critical condition and required extrication and hospital care, according to authorities.

The crash took place on Reisterstown Road in Pikesville, as reported by Fox 45 News. The accident involved a Maryland Transit Administration bus and multiple civilian vehicles, including one that overturned.

The Baltimore County officials noted that several vehicles were affected in the incident. Emergency crews worked to rescue a person trapped inside the bus and another individual in a car.

The Baltimore County Fire Department stated that a building engineer was dispatched to the scene. Shortly after the crash, a second alarm for a mass casualty incident was issued.

Maryland Governor Wes Moore commented on the situation, expressing his concern and gratitude for the first responders. He mentioned on social media that he was closely coordinating with local officials to provide necessary support.

The Maryland State Highway Administration reported road closures in the vicinity of the crash. They advised drivers to seek alternate routes while crews addressed the situation.
