An attorney known for representing indigent parents in Washington, D.C., faces a felony charge. This lawyer has been part of a panel for decades, aiding parents who can’t afford legal services.

Recently, evidence entered in D.C. Superior Court includes a video screenshot. This image, part of an affidavit supporting an arrest warrant, reportedly shows the suspect at a complainant’s apartment on June 4. To protect identities, the suspect’s face is blurred in the affidavit.

The case involves a woman with developmental disabilities dealing with addiction. Desperate to regain custody of her son lost to alleged neglect, she lacked funds for a lawyer. As a result, the D.C. court appointed an attorney to assist her.
