Ashley Cooke Shares Her Experience with Brugada Syndrome

Country singer Ashley Cooke discussed her serious heart condition during an interview with Fox News Digital. Cooke, who is preparing for her Baby Blues World Tour, revealed her diagnosis of Brugada syndrome. This rare genetic heart disorder can lead to sudden cardiac arrest due to irregular heart rhythms.

Cooke, age 29, described the diagnosis as “scary” since the condition shows no symptoms. She stated, “You just have to go get tested for it and hope for the best.” She stressed that the syndrome affects young and healthy individuals, which adds to the fear.

“It’s like young, healthy people that actually are the ones that end up passing away from it just out of nowhere. So, it’s a little scary.” — Ashley Cooke

The artist mentioned feeling a constant sense of fear due to the unpredictability of cardiac arrest. Despite this, her cousin, who also suffers from Brugada syndrome, offered words of wisdom. He encouraged her to live life with positivity, suggesting, “Your time is going to be your time no matter what.” This perspective has inspired Cooke to embrace each day with purpose.

Cooke continues to rise in the country music scene with tracks like “Never Til Now” and “Your Place.” She eagerly anticipates her major headlining tour, The Baby Blues World Tour, promoting her upcoming self-titled album, releasing on August 14.

Speaking about the tour, Cooke expressed excitement, saying it will be the “best season” of her life. She looks forward to performing in new venues, fulfilling longtime aspirations, and hopes her fans will connect with her music, singing along during her shows.
