Aaron Rodgers Addresses Drew Allar’s Viral DM Scandal

Aaron Rodgers recently addressed rumors involving his teammate, Drew Allar, during the “Not Just Football with Cam Heyward” podcast. The seasoned quarterback discussed the alleged “racy” direct messages that were reportedly linked to Allar, the new Steelers quarterback. Allar, selected in the third round of the 2026 draft, became the subject of internet gossip when these messages surfaced online in 2025.

Rodgers humorously remarked, “For those pop culture enthusiasts, there’s a DM thread about Drew. He wanted me to clarify it’s not true and was fabricated, but it’s out there. It’s a little racy.” Despite the rumors, Rodgers emphasized Allar’s long-standing, happy relationship with his girlfriend, Emma Bush.

Based on social media, Allar and Bush have been a couple since high school and continue to share their moments publicly. Bush recently posted a heartfelt video on TikTok celebrating seven years with Allar. The couple seems undeterred by the online chatter.

Reflecting on the situation, Rodgers recalled the initial reaction to the DM story. “When I heard Drew Allar, the first thing I thought was, Oh, that DM thing. I remember it circulated in quarterback rooms,” Rodgers said. He even joked with Allar about handling the rumor within the NFL environment.

Having experience in the league, Rodgers commended Allar’s composure. “One of the first things I said to him was, ‘Hey, did the DM thing ever get you in trouble?’ and he assured me about his longstanding relationship.” Allar’s response highlighted his resilience in facing locker room challenges.

Rodgers, as he embarks on his final NFL season, expressed enjoyment being part of the Steelers’ QB lineup, calling it one of his favorites. The current group includes Mason Rudolph, Will Howard, and Allar.
