New York Giants Quarterback Jaxson Dart Introduces Trump, Draws Teammate’s Criticism

The New York Giants’ quarterback Jaxson Dart introduced former President Donald Trump during a speech in Suffern, New York, on Friday. This event caught the attention of teammate Abdul Carter, who expressed his disagreement.

Introduction Chant

Before welcoming Trump, Dart initiated a chant to engage the audience. He said, “Big Blue Nation, it’s a pleasure to be here. I got to start this off with a ‘Go Big Blue,’” and led the chant briefly before introducing the former president.

He continued, “What an honor, what a privilege it is to be here, and without further ado, I’m grateful, I’m honored, I’m pleased to introduce the 45th and 47th President of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump.” The two shook hands before Dart exited the stage.

Reaction from Teammate Abdul Carter

Abdul Carter responded by sharing the video of Dart introducing Trump, expressing his frustration by posting, “Thought this s—t was AI, what we doing man,” referring to Dart’s actions.

Both Carter and Dart were first-round picks of the New York Giants in the 2025 NFL Draft. Carter was selected with the No. 3 overall pick from Penn State, while Dart was chosen as the No. 25 pick from Ole Miss after a trade.

Performance and Expectations

Both players are considered vital to the team’s future. Carter, at 22 years old, played in all of the season’s 17 games, totaling 43 tackles, seven tackles for loss, and four sacks. His performance improved notably towards the end of the season.

Dart, 23, played in 14 games, starting 12. He led the team to a 4-8 record in his starts. He completed 63.7% of his passes for 2,272 yards, achieving 15 touchdowns and five interceptions. His rushing capabilities added another dimension, with 86 carries totaling 487 yards and nine rushing touchdowns.

Carter faced disciplinary issues related to attendance and tardiness, resulting in him being benched for parts of two games.
