Bruce Springsteen seemed to ignore Chris Christie during his concert, as a viral video showed. At Springsteen’s Brooklyn concert, he walked past the former New Jersey governor. Christie extended his hand, like other fans, but Springsteen, 76, did not acknowledge him. It’s unknown if Springsteen intentionally ignored Christie. Fox News Digital contacted Springsteen’s representative for a comment.
Despite the moment, Christie continued to enjoy the show, clapping along with the audience. One social media user commented, “HAHAHA Bruce Springsteen WAS NOT HAVING IT with Chris Christie. THE SNUB!”
Others speculated online that it was an innocent oversight. One user suggested, “It looks like Bruce thought he was just a guy showing him which direction to go.” Another mentioned, “Christie is a huge Bruce fan” and pointed to past instances showing their friendly interactions.
Springsteen has previously criticized former President Donald Trump during concerts. During his “Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour,” he voiced concern about current American politics. He stated, “We are living through some very dark times… Our young men and women’s lives are at risk in an unconstitutional and illegal war.”
He added criticism of U.S. immigration policies, saying, “There are immigrants being held in detention centers around the country and being deported without due process.”
Springsteen accused the White House of corruption, affecting America’s global reputation. He concluded, “To many, we are no longer looked upon as a strong defender of democracy. We are now seen as a reckless, unpredictable nation. That is this administration’s legacy.”
