Caitlin Clark delivered an impressive performance Sunday night, leading the Indiana Fever to a victory over the Seattle Storm. Clark scored 21 points, shooting 5-of-10 from the field, and made all nine of her free-throw attempts. She also added two three-pointers to her stats. This was the first time since September 19, 2024, that she attempted 10 or fewer field goals, previously achieving this against the Washington Mystics in only 19 minutes of play.
On playing against the Seattle Storm, Clark realized the importance of involving her teammates to secure a win. She managed 10 assists, her first since July 13, 2025, against the Dallas Wings. That game preceded an injury that sidelined her for much of the 2025 season.
“No reason to press. Get my teammates involved,” Clark explained, as reported by The Athletic. “Take what the defense gives me. I did well getting to the line, so there’s no need to shoot excessively. Despite playing only 23 minutes, I reached the line nine times. I can improve by getting to the line for free points.”
Caitlin Clark warmed up before the game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, demonstrating her readiness to take on the Storm. Her leadership and strategic play were crucial in securing the 89-78 win for Indiana. While Clark led in scoring, Kelsey Mitchell contributed 17 points in her 28 minutes of play, and Sophie Cunningham added 17 points and three rebounds off the bench. The Fever achieved this victory without Aliyah Boston, who missed the game due to a lower-leg injury.
Indiana Fever’s next match is scheduled for Tuesday night against the Portland Fire, once again at home.
